On July 31 2014, my dad, my grandpa, my dad's worker and I drove to Tillamook Oregon from battleground Washington to go fishing on a dory boat with Mark, to catch salmon, bottom fish and crab. We got to Tillamook at 12:00 and stayed at Shiloh inn. In the morning at four we checked out of the hotel and left for pacific city. We met Mark at the parking lot above the beach. Since we live in Washington and do not have Oregon license, Mark sold us one day licenses. The ocean look very calm from the beach, but once we got out passed the surf, we started going up and down in big swells. Since it it was to rough to bottom fish we started salmon fishing first, Which was fine. After only about two minutes my dad called out "fish on". We ended up salmon fishing till about 10:30 because there was so much action. We kept six silvers and one chinook, but there was enough fish that I caught and released five native silvers, one native chinook and one hatchery chinook that weighed 15lbs gutted and gilled. On the way back we pulled the crab pots. Out of four pots, we caught about three dozen Dungeness crab. Then got to have the fun of beaching the boat. We started cruising toward the the beach, pulled up the motors and slid up onto the beach. A great way to end my favorite fishing trip.
